Home - Carmarthen Athletic Hockey Club is a club based in Carmarthen, Wales focused on creating a fun, engaging and accessible environment for people of all ages and skill-levels, to play hockey. WELCOME At Carmarthen Athletic Hockey Club we’re all about fun and competitive sports. Our experienced coaches train our team to reach their highest potential, and to always have a great time whenever we play. We are a growing club and currently have three Women's teams, two Men's team's and an increasing number of Junior Hockey Players that range from ages 4-14. We are a very family orientated club and welcome all abilities to come and have a go. So, if you're new to Hockey or wanting to get back to it after some time then please pop down to the Astro pitch at Carmarthen Leisure centre or drop us a message on the contact page. *** ACCESS TO HOCKEY *** The first session is free, so you're welcome to come down and try before you commit to becoming a member. For players/parents who require more information on the 'Access to Hockey' fund and information on how to apply, then please speak to a committee member. Our club only runs because of people like you. Whether you can offer 5 minutes or 5 hours a week, we need your help. **Be a Club Hero and complete form here ** Why We Need You Carmarthen Athletic Hockey Club is powered by passionate volunteers. Every training session, fixture, and club event happens thanks to a dedicated few who give their time freely. But right now, they're stretched to the limit. Most juggle day jobs, family life, and other commitments. We can’t sustain our club without your help. Get Involved — Big or Small You don’t have to be a hockey expert. Or even a club member! Mums, dads, grandparents, partners, friends - if you’ve got enthusiasm or a helpful skill, we’d love to hear from you. Here are just a few ways to help: Micro Volunteering (5–30 minutes) * Put covers on dugouts * Wash training bibs * Wash the playing kit * Take match-day photos * Hold the first aid kit * Help with set-up or clear-down on match days * Register attendance at training (on spond) * Tuck shop volunteer at home junior tournaments * Tournament day fee collector via SumUp card machine 🔵 Regular Help (1–2 hours a week) * Collect match fees via Spond * Coordinate transport for fixtures * Liaise with parents and/or players * Help to organise a raffle or social night * 🔴 Key Roles (Ongoing commitment) * Umpiring or youth coaching (you don’t need to be a hockey player to do this) * Session lead or assistant (only skill or prior experience needed for this is bags of enthusiasm) * Fixture coordinator * Club administration * Sponsorship lead Have Skills or a spare 15 minutes? Summer League Please review the information below with reference to this years club summer league. Here you will find team lists, fixtures and a link to the results table. Matches will be 7 a side on half pitch at Carmarthen Leisure Centre Astro. Matches will run for a total of 20 mins total (no 1/2 time). Rules In terms of rules for Summer league, its simple - - We will follow all normal hockey regulations, except for aerials. No Aerials are permitted in Summer League. - Shinguards are required, anyone without shinguards will not be able to play! Please be respectful when HITTING a shot.
